District Champs

Dilley’s 8th grade Lady Pups basketball team repeated as back-to-back District 28-3A champions, winning the league tournament in Lytle. The team knocked off Hondo 31-4, Poteet 37-24 and Crystal City 38-15 to win the event. Over the last two seasons the team compiled a 27-2 record.

Cotulla’s 7th grade Cowgirls claimed the District 28-3A championship during action in Crystal City for the annual league tournament. The team went undefeated at the event topping Poteet 29–7, Lytle 37–25 and Crystal City 35–28 to claim the title. The Cowgirls went 12-1 overall during the season.
