COUNTY ARRESTS
Twenty-two individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office and by troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, February 2, and Sunday, Feb. 15, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
John Andrew Ramirez, 43, of Cotulla; arrested 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; released on bond after 22 hours.
Ricky Gonzales, 45, of Cotulla; arrested 1:04 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for misdemeanor failure to appear in court, warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for second-degree felony aggravated assault; released on bond after 18 hours.
Noah Mario Castor, 27, of Cotulla; arrested 2:10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana, state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; released on bond after two days, nine hours.
Osvaldo Martinez, 19, of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; arrested 4:03 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, by the Texas DPS; second-degree felony theft of property up to $300,000 in value; remained in jail Monday, Feb. 16.
Antoinette Eileen Chapa, 39, of Cotulla; arrested 12:41 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after 22 hours.
Rogelio Alvarado, 70, of Cotulla; arrested 5:18 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; court-ordered release after three days, 22 hours.
Micah James Perkins, 39, of Lytle, Texas; arrested 8:23 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 15 hours.
Joel Salinas, 61, of Rio Grande, Texas; arrested 3:34 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while license is not valid (with prior conviction); released on bond after 19 hours.
Joe Aydien Flores Jr., 22, of Laredo; arrested 8:44 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, by the Texas DPS; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2; released on bond after one day, eight hours.
Felicitas Evangelina Castellon, 42, of San Antonio; arrested 11:47 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor warrants issued by Pct. 2 JP for traffic violation – failure to slow, and driving without a license, warrant issued in Bexar County for Class A misdemeanor assault; transferred after three days, 10 hours.
Juan Carlos Rodriguez Jr., 26, of Cotulla; arrested 11:58 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; released on bond after 17 hours.
Chay Terrique Jones, 27, of Teague, Texas; arrested 12:43 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 23 hours.
Juny Danial Padilla, 45, of San Antonio; arrested 1:51 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for probation violation on third-degree felony driving while intoxicated; remained in jail Monday, Feb. 16, on hold for San Saba County Sheriff’s Office.
Isaac De Los Santos, 60, of Cotulla; arrested 8:27 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after ten hours.
Genisis Ortez, 33, of Austin; arrested 2:24 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b and on third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Feb. 16.
Jack Daniel Coleman, 37, of Cotulla; arrested 5:37 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for bond revocation on second-degree felony arson; remained in jail Monday, Feb. 16.
Tyler Jamal Finley, 23, of San Antonio; arrested 1:13 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in Bartow County, Georgia, for felony theft by deception and felony theft by receiving stolen property; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Jaime Arce, 50, of San Antonio; arrested 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor warrants issued by Pct. 2 JP for child safety belt violation and speeding; released on bond after one hour.
William Meza, 20, of Laredo; arrested 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on second-degree felony smuggling of persons with risk of serious bodily injury or death; remained in jail Monday, Feb. 16.
Elisa Maya, 30, of Laredo; arrested 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for failure to appear in court on third-degree felony smuggling of persons; remained in jail Monday, Feb. 16.
Daniel Gonzalez, 22, of Laredo; arrested 2:26 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while license is not valid (with prior conviction); released on bond after 21 hours.
Jeremiah Lopez, 25, of Cotulla; arrested 7:28 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County for Class B misdemeanor speeding; released on bond after 16 hours.
