Frio County commissioners recognized Road and Bridge Supervisor Tommy Navarro during a meeting on Tuesday, June 13 after he was selected by the Safe Employee Recognition Campaign to receive the 2022-23 Honor Roll accolade. According to a letter from the public workers’ compensation program, Navarro was selected for the higher achievement due to his ability to go over and beyond for safety by doing things to help others avoid injury, consistently reminding others of safe practices and routinely wearing proper safety protective gear. The road and bridge supervisor was awarded a jacket and shirt.
