Ramona L. Ortiz, 75, of Pearsall, died on October 4, 2023, in San Antonio. She was born on August 9, 1948 in Pearsall to Pedro Lopez and Julia Ruiz Lopez.

She is preceded in death by parents, sons Horacio Garcia and Mark Anthony Garcia, siblings Theo Lopez, Domingo Lopez, Victor Lopez and Elena Lopez Rodriguez.

Ramona is survived by her husband Gilbert Ortiz, children Cynthia Garcia, Melissa Duarte, Leticia Ortiz, Catiria Valdez (Abraham), Marie Vargas and Gilbert L. Ortiz (Veronica). She is also survived by 35 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Wednesday, October 11 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3 to 9 p.m. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was celebrated Thursday, October 12 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Pearsall Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
