Members of the Longview Cemetery Association and local community members joined Alma Horvath of Devine in placing Christmas wreaths on the graves of veterans at the cemetery during a ceremony on Saturday morning, December 14. Horvath annual provides the wreaths for the occasion, which is in its tenth year of honoring veterans. The event is held in conjunction with the Wreaths Across America program.

“We are proud to honor our veterans who served and helped to protect and defend our country,” Longview Cemetery Association member Martha Knight said. “We keep a flag posted at each veteran’s grave all year long as a way to say thank you for all they have done and to continue to honor them for many years to come.
“We wish to thank all of those who attended and helped place the wreaths and especially to Alma Horvath, who furnishes the wreaths each year.”
