Jourdanton used strong second and fourth quarter surges to roll past Pearsall 74-50 Tuesday, December 19 in non-district basketball action. “The boys are really competing hard,” PHS Head Coach Gus Torres said.


“They fought with everything they had. It’s a minute here and there where the game gets away from us and we need to fix that.” Pearsall hung close through three periods of play although the Indians made some separation in the second, outscoring the Mavs 23-11 in the stanza. Jourdanton led 15-14 after the first and 38-25 at the half. Pearsall played on even terms with the Indians in the third at 14-14 in the period to trail 52-39 going into the fourth.
