Student members of the Cotulla High School Chapter of the National Honor Society gathered on the lawn of the La Salle County Courthouse with county government officials and representatives of the Wintergarden Womens Shelter on Friday morning, April 6, to plant blue pinwheels in front of children’s


silhouettes in commemoration of April as Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness Month, a time during which law enforcement personnel, healthcare and social services providers, advocacy groups, counselors, religious and civic leaders focus on promoting education in the ways in which abuse and neglect of minors persists in society and remains a threat to the vulnerable in the community; and encouraging intervention in crimes of abuse and neglect, and services to the victims
