Traffic stop yields 11-kilo cocaine cargo

The routine traffic stop of a northbound sport utility vehicle on IH-35 between Cotulla and Dilley on Tuesday evening, July 24, resulted in the seizure of 11 kilos of cocaine worth more than a quarter million dollars, according to a report from the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

The case in which a Mexican national has been remanded into custody is now in the hands of the US Drug Enforcement Administration, whose agents are pursuing investigation and prosecution for narcotics smuggling.
