BEARS LOWER THE BOOM

Pearsall took on its biggest challenge of the season last Friday as they traveled to Bear Country to take on #9 state-ranked La Vernia and came home on the short end of a 65-0 decision. La Vernia scored early and often as they quickly put the game out of reach. Hampered by injuries at several positions in their final tune-up prior to district play, Pearsall also opted to sit or limit players, as well. “It was kind of the imperfect storm for us,” Pearsall AD and Head Football Coach Joseph Rivera said. “A good team kind of shell-shocked us early and it rolled down hill quickly.
