Marketplace post leads to arrests, recovery of stolen items

After a recent spike in thefts, Pearsall Police have credited social media postings and video surveillance footage to the arrest of four individuals last week.

According to a report on the case, officers were dispatched to two separate burglary of a motor vehicle calls in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 24.

During the interview with the victim, investigating officers learned that among a number of items taken from the vehicle was an active debit card. Since the time of the alleged theft, the card had been used at a local convenience store in town.

It was during the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers, with the help of store employees, were able to identify the two men as Robert Serrano and Ignacio Juarez.
