Councilors’ push for ACO budget amendment fails

With two months left in the fiscal year, a push by Pearsall City Councilors for a budget amendment to fund an animal control officer failed during a meeting on Tuesday, July 23.

According to Interim City Manager Josie Carrizales, in 2016, a civilian animal control officer had a total budget of $81,000 which included a $40,000 yearly salary.
