LETTER TO THE EDITOR

It’s your money!

Dear Editor,

Every dollar being spent by “local” government or various non-profits should be scrutinized by every resident that contributes money either by choice or not.

So how much money does your church, school, city, and county need? Is it like tipping the waitress, who expects 10% or 15% for only one cup of coffee?

The oil industry brought higher salaries and has increased property values/rent, whether you like it or not. Does that mean more has to be given? Seems church and government expect more $$ per our social norm. Seems normal.

From what I see, there is not enough money to fix or sustain our community. We cant’ keep up with our potholes, normal for any city. There is transparency in government, all budgets are available for all to see but few people review these lengthy budgets.
