Miranda, Adams to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Lupe Miranda of Cotulla are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Vanity Corine Miranda, to Alfredo Carlos Adams, the son of Mrs. Melissa Teneyuca and Mr. Andy Mendez of Cotulla. The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Cotulla High School, holds an associate's degree in education from San Antonio College and is currently attending Texas A&M University at San Antonio, majoring in education. She plans to follow a career in teaching.

Local businesses donate monies for city’s toy drive

The City of Pearsall, represented by Mayor Davina Trevino-Rodriguez, collected toys donated by the GEO Group, Inc. and Performance Technologies Solutions for the city’s annual Toy Distribution on Saturday, December 20. III. Trevino-Rodriguez also collected a $250 donation for the event from Jalisco’s Bar & Grill owner Jose Medelez.

A knightly act ...

The Pearsall Knights of Columbus #8327 recently donated a living room set and a table and chair to the Villanueva Family for the holidays. The Knights extended their best wishes to the family and
