Walter Proctor

Walter Wain Proctor, age 68, of Dilley, died Sunday, October 28, 2018, in Dilley. He was born in Pearsall on May 8, 1950, to Everett Wayne and Mildred (Long) Proctor. He is preceded in death by his father, Everett Wayne Proctor; brother, Robert Proctor and his sister, Evelyn Jean Proctor. Walter is survived by his mother, Mildred Proctor; sister, Linda Hood of Dilley; along with numerous, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, at the First Baptist Church in Dilley from 9 a.m. to service time. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in the Dilley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, Pearsall.

Felicitas Ramirez

Felicitas Ramirez died on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the age of 86. She was born on October 16, 1931 to Santos and Guadalupe Martinez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hipolito Ramirez Sr. She is survived by her sons, Juan Geraldo (Jenny) Ramirez, Eligio (Rosa) Ramirez, Guillermo (Linda) Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez (Abby Tijerina), Rosendo Ramirez and Hipolito Ramirez Jr. (Helda Garza); 26 grandchildren, along with numerous great grandchildren. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 16, at Peters Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, October 16, at 12 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Manuelita Ramon

Manuelita R. Ramon, age 83, of Pearsall, Texas passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018, at her home. She was born in Brownsville, on November 21, 1934, to Manuel Diaz and Benigna (Reyes) Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Juan Ramon and her sister, Modesta R. Salazar. Manuelita is survived by her brother, Ruperto Rodriguez of Houston, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Thursday, October 25, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, October 26, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment following in the Frio County Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jesus Balderas, Antonio Yanez, Rene Rodriguez, Victor Elizondo, Sergio Martinez and Rodrigo Rodriguez. Arrangements are under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, Pearsall.

Alfredo Flores Martinez Sr., age 78 of Pearsall, died Saturday, October 27, 2018, in San Antonio. He was born in Nueva Rosita, Mexico on February 6, 1940, to Pedro and Maria De Jesus (Flores) Martinez. Alfredo is survived by his wife Esperanza Jasso Martinez of Pearsall; sons, Alfredo J. Gumesindo J. Amaya, 62 of Pearsall, died on October 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 14, 1956 in Winamac, Indiana to Jose Amaya Sr. and Blasa Acosta Amaya. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jay Amaya. He is survived by his wife, Cruz Viesca Amaya of Pearsall; children, Jason Anthony Amaya and wife Loretta of Lytle, Janice Amaya Robledo and Christopher Lee Esparza of Pearsall and Annaliza Amaya Arrellano and Thomas of Pearsall; bothers and sisters, Jose Amaya Jr.

Raul Juarez

Raul T. “PeeWee” Juarez, 75 of Pearsall, died on October 19, 2018. He was born on August 20, 1943 in Pearsall, to Alonzo Juarez and Maria Tenerias Juarez. He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Samantha McCullough. He is survived by his spouse, Gloria Juarez of Pearsall,; children, Lisa Juarez and Beth of Pearsall, Bobby Juarez of Pearsall, Norma Castillo of Georgetown, and Cyndi Juarez Saenz and Samuel of Pearsall; sister, Maria Dillard of San Antonio; Grandchildren, Abigail Juarez, Angelina Cuela, Robert Anthony Juarez, Bernadette Castillo, Kimberly Juarez, Nicholas Juarez and Jaylyn Juarez; great grandchild, Jennevie Juarez, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Monday, October 22, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A short eulogy was recited at 7 p.m. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, October 23, at the Frio County Cemetery, 10 a.m.

Winnie Owens

Winnie Mae Edmiston Owens of Uvalde died on October 16, 2018 in Uvalde at the age of 95. She was born on March 4, 1923 in Floydada, Texas to Reed Thomas and Florence Searbin (Williamson) Stribling. She is preceded in death by her second husband, Horace Reeder Owens; first husband, Lawson Eugene Edmiston; sister, Jewel Teeple and brother, R.T. Stribling. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Kinsey and husband, Bill of Dilley, Gwen Harris and husband, Billy Dean of Junction and Sherian King and husband, William of Imperial; six grandchildren, Janna Prasek, Mark Kinsey, Chris Kinsey, Monique Bowles, Cindee Dietrich, and Todd Harris; 10 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She married Horace Reeder Owens in Midland, Texas on May 26, 1972. Winnie was an active member of the Central Christian Church in Sabinal. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 19, at 2 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment was held Saturday, October 20, at 2 p.m.

Amador Mayo Camarillo, 81, of Pearsall, died on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio.Amador was born on February 17, 1937 in Gonzales. He was the son of Secundino and Petra (Maldonado) Camarillo. He worked as a salesman in the retail industry. He married Delma Morales Del Toro on March 10, 2007.
