Norbert Naquin

Norbert Naquin, died on August 1, 2018 in Dilley. He was also known as Bob, was born on November 18, 1949 in Rural Torrance Los Angeles, California. He owned an apartment complex. Margarita Patiño

Margarita Patiño, age 58, died on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 20, 1960 in Pearsall to Isabel and Maria Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cristobal Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Cristobal “Toto” Hernandez; sisters, Josefa Navarro and Estela Morales. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Miguel Patiño Sr.; sons, Miguel Patiño Jr., Jaime Patiño and Marcos Patiño; daughters, Cynthia Hernandez, Alexandra Foster (Jaren); brothers, Roman Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez; sisters, Julia Treviño, Zulema Carrizales, Alicia Gonzales, Rosa Diaz, Juanita Culberson, Ramona Hernandez and Angelita Torres; eight grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation was held Wednesday, August 8, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, August 9 at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Marta Dominguez Ramos

Marta Dominguez Ramos, 77, of Angleton, died peacefully with her daughters by her side on Thursday, August 9, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born July 29, 1941 in Dilley, to Jose and Francisca Dominguez. Marta was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Maricela Dominguez, and her sister-in-law, Maria Dominguez. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa “Missy” Romero and husband, Gilbert of Pearland, Melanie Christian and husband, Andy of Angleton, and Marlyse “Mandy” Ramos of San Antonio; grandchildren, Meagan, Cristian, Camren Romero and Drew Christian; her brothers, Pete Dominguez and wife, Bertha of Boerne and Noe Dominguez of Edinburg; along with several nieces and one nephew. Marta moved to San Antonio in 2003 to accept a job transfer with Board of Pardon and Paroles and remained in San Antonio until July 2018. Marta was a devout Catholic and a member of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters Court #2124.

Edward L. Shull

Edward L. Shull, age 94, of Dilley, died Friday, August 10, 2018 in Pearsall. He is preceded in death by his parents, Newton Joshua and Ola (Gulley) Shull; sister, Louise Starnes. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Shull of Dilley; sons, Ron Shull and wife, Sherri, Kelly Shull and wife, Glenda, Keith Shull and wife, Sheila, and Rob Shull and wife, Sarah; daughters, Antranette Gips and husband, Don, Kristal Burris and husband, Keith, and Judy Wilmeth and husband, Mac; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation wAS held Sunday, August 12, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 13, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Dilley with interment following in the Dilley Cemetery. Pallbearers included Grayson Wilmeth, Brent Shull, Clint Henderson, Doax Gips, Matthew Shull, and Kye Burris. Family has requested memorials be made to the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 402 N.

Robert Rutter

Robert Grady Rutter Jr., of Moore, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Devine, at the age of 94. Robert was born on December 4, 1923 in Dripping Springs, Texas to Robert and Ella (Marx) Rutter. He is preceded in death by his wife, Una Gene McIntyre Rutter; his parents; five siblings; his son, Damon; and granddaughter, Jennifer. Robert is survived by his son, Roger B. Rutter, Sr.; stepson, Don Martin; brother, Glenn Rutter; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two greatgreat- grandchildren; and close family friend of twentyseven years, and caregiver, Cindy White. A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, Robert served overseas in India, Burma, and China with the 396th Air Service Squadron as an airplane hydraulic mechanic. Upon retiring from his machine shop in Austin, Robert and Una moved to their ranch in Moore in 1980. Visitation was held Tuesday August 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.

Dominga G. Ramirez, died on July 24, 2018, at the age of 83. She was born on May 26, 1935 to Jesus and Delfina Galvan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Santos Ramirez; her parents; daughter, Rosalinda Gonzalez and sister, Petra Codina. Dominga is survived by her children, Maria (Jesus) Landeros, Silvia (Jesus) Garza Jr., Santos (Benita) Ramirez Jr., Esmeralda (Alvaro†) Gonzalez, Tirzo (Irene) Ramirez, Jesse (Rose Ann) Ramirez and Randy (Jeanette) Ramirez; grandchildren, Monica Trevino, Jesse Landeros, Dephanie Gonzalez, Stephanie Gonzalez, Alfredo Gonzalez Jr., Jesus Garza III, Santos Ramirez III, Michael Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez, Bobby Ramirez, Savannah Gonzalez, Jessica Ramirez, J.R. Ramirez, Navaeh Ramirez, Desiree Munoz, Brandyn Ramirez and Christian Ramirez; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Jose Galvan and Reymundo Galvan. William Hoyle

William “Bill” Ray Hoyle, age 86, of Pearsall, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Kilgore, on October 10, 1931, to parents, Clifford Ray and Mary Bell (Hill) Hoyle. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers John Clifford Hoyle and Douglas Hoyle; son, Justin Len (Jake) Hoyle. He is survived by his wife, Mona Hoyle of Pearsall; his daughter, Jacqueline Rae Hahn and husband, Monty of Medina and Kerrville; brothers, Donald Hoyle and wife, Patsy of Georgetown, and Joe Hoyle and wife, Martha of Taylor, Arkansas; grandsons, Will Hoyle and wife, Ashley of Natalia, Justin Hahn and wife, Dana of Kerville, Zachary Hahn of San Antonio; granddaughter, Erin Hahn of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Arianna Hoyle, Skylar Montoya, Cullen Hahn and Cora Hahn; along with nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends. Bill graduated high school at the age of 16 from Georgetown High School.

Santos Galindo

Santos Galindo, died on July 22, 2018, at the age of 96. He was born on April 26, 1922 to Paz and Josefa Galindo. He is preceded in death by wife, Rebecca Galindo; son, Daniel Galindo; and his parents. Santos is survived by his son, David (Berta) Galindo; grandson, David Galindo Jr.; great grandchildren, Destinie Galindo and Julius Ramirez; granddaughter, Catherine (Hector) Garcia; great-grandchildren, Carolina Garcia, Hector Garcia, Isabella Garcia, Sophia Garcia and daughterin- law, Norma Galindo. Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 25, at Peters Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, July 26, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Refugio Elizondo

Refugio G. Elizondo, age 89, of Pearsall, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at his home. He was born in Pearsall on July 4, 1929, to Catarino and Lorenza (Gutierrez) Elizondo. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jose M. Elizondo, Eliberto Elizondo, Desiderio Elizondo, Celestino Elizondo, Evaristo Elizondo, and Leopoldo Elizondo; sisters, Gabriella E. Trevino, Nieves E. Correa, Marta E. Diaz, Maria (Mere) Elizondo and Dominga E. Leal; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 9, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 10, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment to follow in the Catholic West Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Rudy Leal, Desi Elizondo, Charles Elizondo, David Elizondo, David Zanini and Tommy Cox. Honorary Pallbearers are Armando Hernandez, Abdon Correa and Ramon Elizondo.

Patricia Aguilar

Patricia Aguilar, age 52, of Schertz, Texas and formerly of Pearsall, died Monday, July 23, 2018 in San Antonio. She was born in Pearsall on May 21, 1966 to parents, Inocente G. “Chente” and Diana Leal. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Inocente Leal Jr. Patricia is survived by her husband, Daniel Aguilar of Schertz; son, Leonard Aguilar of Houston; brothers, Jose Leal, Orlando Leal and Alberto Leal of Pearsall; sisters, Julie Aguero of Pearsall and Jessica Leal of Pearsall. Visitation was held Thursday, July 26, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment following in the Catholic West Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, of Pearsall.
