Aurora Lopez

Aurora Lopez died on April 19, 2015, at the age of 95. She was born on August 26, 1919 to Maximiliano and Dolores Lopez. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Josefina Lopez, Antonio Lopez, Paz Lozano, Maria Lopez and Natalia Harris. She is survived by her brother, Manuel Lopez and his wife Eva; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, at Peters Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Serviceswill be held on Monday, April 27, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred   Heart Catholic Church. Dennis Little

Dennis Clive Little, age 70, of Monroe, died on April 19, 2015 with his wife Gail by his side. He was born in Union County to the late James Moses and Lela Belle Little. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gene Little and his sister, Jolene Rushing. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Gail Roberts Little; two sons, Scott Little (Donna) and Tony Little; daughter, Denise Cureton (George); two grandchildren, Amee’ Little and David Cureton; his brother, Watt Little (Alice); three sisters, Patt Moore, Shirley Haigler (Aubrey), Edith Rushing (Hayne); and his sister-in-law, Libby Little Taylor (Carroll). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. at Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral service to immediately follow at the church with burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Monroe or Hospice of Union County.

Fannie Johnson

Fannie Lorene “Pat” Johnson, 87, died on April 12, 2015 at her home in San Antonio, after a brief struggle with cancer. Pat was born on January 20, 1928 in Gonzales, Texas to Adele Askey Johnson and Henry Grady Johnson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Johnson; her parents; one brother, Grady Johnson and one sister, Joyce Morris. She is survived by her daughter Jo Dell, and husband Todd of CorpusChristi, and her grandchildren, Lauren and Scott; one sister, also of Corpus Christi, B.D. Burch and other family members. She graduated a year early from Gonzales High School after the sudden passing of her father. Although she never attended college, Pat held a degree as a “Household  Engineer,” farmer and real estate manager and investor in  her later years.Visitation was held on Friday, April 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the funeral service was held Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at Mission Park North Funeral Home. Interment followed services at 3 p.m.

Leonard Geyer

Leonard Ivan Geyer, age 65, of Moore, Texas, died Monday, April 20, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born August 25, 1949. He is preceded in death by his father, Edmund F. Geyer Jr. He is survived by his wife, Gail Geyer, known to him as T.J.; mother, Helen Geyer-Ivey of Moore; children, Melony Blundell (Scott) of Yoakum, Leonard Geyer, Jr. (Sue) of Devine, Landon Geyer (Amanda) of Moore; grandchildren, Lyndsie Blundell Theiss (Jonathon), Karli, Kelli, and Kourtni Geyer, Kassidy, Madalyn, Emma and Layne Geyer; siblings, Margaret Grammer (James), Donald Geyer (Loretta), Eddie Geyer (Annetta). Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 22 at the First Baptist Church in Devine from noon until service time.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 at the First Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the Brummett Cemetery.

Leonor Garcia Cantu, 87, of Pearsall, died on April 17, 2015. She was born on August 15, 1927 in Dilley to Miguel Garcia and Santos Benavidez. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Trinidad Padilla Cantu; son, Librado Trinidad Cantu; brothers and sisters, Manuel Chavana, Francisco Chavana, Elida Martinez and Gloria Smith. She is survived by her children, Diana C. Martinez and husband, Francisco, Carlos N. Cantu and wife, Janet, Alamar C. Perez, Jose Lionel Cantu and wife, San Juanita, Norma C. Gonzales and Emilio Barros, Herbey Cantu and wife, Eva, Senaida C. Perez and husband, Oscar, Glaude Rivera and husband, Luciano, Ricardo G. Cantu and wife, Luz Maria, Christen Cantu and Rudy Garcia, Jose Lionel Cantu Jr.

Andrea Bennett

Andrea Virginia Bennett, on April 21 was moved from Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas and reinterred to the family plot in Pearsall to be close to her children and husband, William Lee Bennett. She died on June 27, 2001 after a long illness. She is survived by four children, Christopher Davis, Steven Davis, Lance Bennett and Laura Bennett, along with three grandchildren.

Sotico Adame

Sotico Lopez Adame, 68, of Pearsall, entered rest on April 17, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born on October 11, 1946 in Pearsall to George Adame and Candelaria Lopez Adame. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Adame and sister, Rosalinda Adame Garcia. He is survived by his children, Abel Adame and Ann Marie Stone,Georgie Adame and Herlinda Martinez, Candie Adame and Ernie Anzua, sisters, Erminia Adame Orozco and husband, Margarito, Lionirez Adame Cisneros and husband, Francisco, Enoelia Adame Segundo and Marisela Adame, brother, Adam Adame and wife, Melissa; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a service at 10 a.m. Funeral services concluded at the chapel. Arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels.

Silverio Salazar Jr.

Silverio Salazar Jr., 72 of Pearsall, died on April 13, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born on November 13, 1942 in Pearsall to Silverio G. Salazar Sr. and Paula Gonzales Salazar. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Lopez Salazar; children, Irmalinda Martinez and husband Alvaro, Mario Salazar, Maria Jasinski and husbandFrank, Gilbert Salazar and Jennifer Salazar; brothers and sisters, Tomas Salazar and wife Teresa, Hilario Salazar and wife Grace, Alma Maldonado and husband Ruben, Ramona Elizondo and husband Manuel and Irma Vinton and husband Victor; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday, April 16, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held on Friday, April 17, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Frio County Cemetery.

Elodia Lozano

Elodia Santos Lozano, 85, died on April 13, 2015 in Austin, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 28, 1929 in Cotulla, to Inez Z. Santos and Eudelia L. Santos. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jose E. Lozano Jr. and Raul R. Lozano; sisters, Aurelia S. Gomez of Cotulla, Juanita Adame of Bryan, Maria Elena (Mariola) Rodriguez of Dilley, Eudelia S. Martinez of Mundeline, Illinois and Anita Santos of Cotulla; brothers, Eudelio Santos of Cotulla, Lauro L. Santos of Cotulla and grandson, Joseph Michael Lozano of Dilley. She is survived by daughters, Leticia (Tish) Dula and her husband Larry of Louisiana, Mary Anna Lozano of Austin and son, Mario A. Lozano and wife Annabel of Live Oak. She is also survived by nine granddaughters; three grandsons along with numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She attended Cotulla High School from 1946-1949. She was a member of The Cotulla Cowgirl Pep squad.
