PISD offers reimbursement for fingerprinting fee after substituting three days. All current and new substitutes must attend training.

ANNUAL PANCAKE SUPPER hosted by the Pearsall Rotary Club, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, at the First united Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Pearsall. Plates of pancakes and bacon offered for $5; proceeds go towards a scholarship fund for high school students graduating from Pearsall and Dilley schools. Tickets are available at the door.

FRIO COUNTY WIC office will host a ‘Walk to Wellness’ event on Thursday, March 12 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Fireman’s Park. The event is family-oriented and free.

US CENSUS cards are in the mail to every household for the 2020 Census. All area residents should follow instructions on the card, complete the online or telephone survey and fulfill their US Census obligations. Failure to complete a census survey results in door-to-door visits by census takers. There is no question regarding US citizenship; all census information remains confidential. Results of the census help determine legislative representation, community services and funding.
