THE TEXAS CAMEL CORPS educational display featuring live camels will be at the Jail Museum and Fireman’s Park in Pearsall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, March 3 and 4, with information on how camels were used for military purposes in Texas. Area schools will send groups to visit the exhibit.

WILD HOG WEEKEND in Cotulla includes science and art fairs, food contest, the La Salle County Junior Livestock Show, Wild Hog Cook-Off and Ranch Rodeo, between Wednesday, March 11, and Sunday, March 15, at the county fairgrounds on Hwy 97. The annual Wild Hog Parade will be downtown Saturday morning. A carnival, live entertainment and evening dances are scheduled each day. FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING by the City of Pearsall will be on Thursday, March 26 beginning at 10:30 p.m. and Friday, March 27 at 10:30 p.m. Customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water during this time.
FISH FRY for Lent, hosted by the Dilley Band Boosters as a fundraiser, 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Lowe’s grocery store. Plates for $6 donations include fried fish, buttered corn and French fries. All proceeds benefit the students in Dilley ISD bands.
