HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
With Poth’s state title run coming up short in the championship game on December 15 to Gunther, members of the District 15-3A, Division II were announced with Dilley’s Wolves earning 13 spots on the squad.
Senior wide receiver Esai Lozano and senior lineman Adrian Carrasco both earned all-district first team offensive honors while junior outside linebacker Aiden Gonzalez and junior lineman Roman Martel were awarded all-district first-team defensive honors.
Sophomore fullback Jonavyn Reyes and senior wide receiver Oscar Villarreal earned second-team all-district honors while sophomore linebacker Johnny Rodriguez and senior outside linebacker Esai Lozano earned second-team defensive accolades.
Junior quarterback Seth Cano, senior running back Colton Ward, junior center Raul Molina. junior defensive end Charles Morales, sophomore corner Jacob Lopez and senior defensive tackle Jerrod Garcia were all given honorable mention.
Dilley went 2-8 overall this season and 1-5 in league play, finishing sixth in the league standings. District champion Poth went 14-2 and lost in the Class 3A state title game. All-district teams are not announced until all members schools have been eliminated from the postseason.
