Dilley Powerlifter Kelsey Eguia was the state runner-up in the Class 3A, Division 2, 220-lb. weight division at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association State Championships at the Comerica Center in Frisco over the weekend. She and her teammates, Reyna Martel and Aundrea Rodriguez, helped the team finish 11th overall out of 38 teams in competition at the event. Eguia had a total lift of 990 lbs. to take second in her division. She had lifts that included 425 lbs. in the squat, 230 lbs. in the bench press and 335 lbs. in the deadlift. Eguia is a freshman at Dilley High School.
