Crestina S. Lopez, 96, died on May 30, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1926 in Pearsall to Santos Salazar and Panfila Mesquita.
Lopez is survived by her daughters Mary Villarreal, Celestina Pefia, Carmen Gonzalez, Juanita Sanchez, Maria Ballesteros, Elvia Lopez, son George Lopez, sister Narcissa Villarreal and 29 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Reynaldo Lopez and sons Cesario Lopez and Apolonio Lopez.
Pallbearers included grandchildren Jason Pena, Augie Trujillo Jr., Abbie Lopez, Ray Lopez, David Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Jonathan Ballesteros, great-grandchildren Nicolas Pena, Diego Pena and Anthony Sponte.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 7 from 8 to 10:15 a.m. Mass was held at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Big Wells. Burial followed in St. Michael Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Leonard Funeral Home, Carrizo Springs.
