COUNTY ARREST
Twenty-one individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, September 4, and Sunday, Sept. 17, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Oscar Garcia, 32, of Dilley; arrested 4:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for failure to appear in court; released on bond after seven hours.
Adrian Alejandro Ibarra, 23, of Laredo; arrested 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 3; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Rondell Antwon King, 35, of Austin; arrested 12:44 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County Court for failure to appear in court on a charge of marijuana possession; released after six days, 22 hours.
Sammy David Santos, 56, of Cotulla; arrested 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 3 JP for misdemeanor burning during a countywide burn ban; released on bond after 14 hours.
Arthur Lara, 18, of Houston; arrested 12:05 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts), warrant issued in Dimmit County for state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; released on bond after one day, 15 hours.
Alex Eduardo Sandoval, 17, of Houston; arrested 12:06 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts), state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
Michael Anthony Ruiz, 34, of Houston; arrested 3:42 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, by the Sheriff’s Office; bench warrant issued in La Salle County for felony evading arrest with a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
Dennis Lee Rodriguez, 37, of Taft, Texas; arrested 12:34 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts); remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
Aurelio Rios Jr., 48, of Cotulla; arrested 6:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 1 and 3 JP’s for misdemeanor failure to appear in court (two counts); released on bond after five hours.
Valentin Trevino, 44, of San Angelo, Texas; arrested 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after 18 hours.
Ryan Oscar Garcia, 21, of Cotulla; arrested 10:48 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor criminal mischief up to $2,500 in damages; released on bond after five hours.
Victor Javier Garcia, 49, of Zapata, Texas; arrested 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Burnet County for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license is not valid, with a prior conviction; released on bond after 19 hours.
Zachary Tres Morales, 23, of Eagle Pass, Texas; arrested 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts); remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
Juan Enrique Moreno, 35, of Eagle Pass, Texas; arrested 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle, third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts); remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
Miguel Limon Jr., 52, of Brownsville, Texas; arrested 7:06 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in Refugio County for felony human smuggling; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
Matthew Ryan Perales, 20, of Cotulla; arrested 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Ivan Alexys Oseguera, 19, of San Antonio; arrested 2:46 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (two counts), third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle; released on bond after one day, two hours.
Juan Luis Blanco-Hernandez, 21, of Monahans, Texas; arrested 9:03 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued in Ward County for Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; released on bond after three hours.
Sherwin Eric Paillao, 46, of Cotulla; arrested 2:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor failure to appear in court (three counts); released on bond after 22 hours.
Charles Wayne Seidel II, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 6:24 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bexar County for interfering with an emergency call, warrant issued in Nueces County for driving while intoxicated; released on bond after 19 hours.
Justin Cole Smith, 29, of Gentry, Arkansas; arrested 12:19 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 18.
