Maria Esther Perez, 75, died on January 22, 2024. She was born on January 29, 1948 in Dilley.

She is preceded in death by her son Humberto (Chumbe) Perez Jr.

Maria is survived by her children Laura Covarrubias, Criselda Perez, and Anthony Perez and her loyal companion, her dog Chuntzy, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held on Thursday, January 25 from 5 to 8 p,m. A Rosary was held at 6 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services in Devine. Mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m. Services concluded at the church.
