A domestic dispute call led Pearsall Police to arrest two men on felony narcotics charges Thursday, March 28.
According to emergency dispatch logs, a call regarding a domestic dispute at a residence on Ash Street was received around 5 a.m.
Responding officers arrived at the home on the southeast side of town to discover 60-year-old Jesse Leal and his 37-year-old girlfriend, Amanda Luna, were engaged in a domestic dispute.
It was during the interviews with the couple that investigating officers learned there was a substantial quantity of narcotics inside the residence.
According to a post on the department’s social media page, a search warrant was carried out at the home.

Cash, prescription drugs and a range of narcotics apparently packaged for sale were seized in a police raid last week.
Entering the residence, officers discovered four pounds of marijuana, 30 ounces of cocaine, five ounces of Psilocybin mushrooms, 26 packages of THC-infused gummies, 42 THC vape pens, 17 sildenafil tablets and $12,000 in US currency.
The report noted that many of the narcotics appeared to have been packaged for distribution.
Officers arrested Leal and his 19-year-old son, Osvaldo Leal, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and transported the pair to the Frio County Jail without further incident.
The Jesse Leal and Luna were charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
“We would like to thank the public for their assistance and support in stopping these illegal narcotics from getting into the hands of our fellow citizens,” the department indicated in a prepared statement.
