Larry Neal
Larry Neal of Pearsall has been appointed to the Medina Electric Cooperative Board of Directors following the resignation of Jimmy Crawford.
Crawford was elected during the 2024 director election and resigned in December, opening a seat to represent Voting District 2.
A selection committee comprised of three board members, one from each voting district, was established to identify qualified applicants for the position. Through the interview process, Neal was selected to fill the vacancy.
Neal has a background in commercial insurance and banking. He has served on other boards such as the Frio Regional Hospital and Pearsall Independent School District. Neal will fill the Voting District 2 seat until it is up for election in 2027.
Medina EC is run by a nine-person board of directors with three directors representing one of three voting districts. Each one of Medina EC’s three voting districts has a position open for election each year. Elections generally take place in September and co-op members who wish to run for a position on the co-op’s board of directors can be nominated through the petition process each year.
For more information regarding the petition process and elections, visit MedinaEC.org/Nominee or email [email protected] or call 1-866-632-3532 ext. 1008.
