On the case

THE FRIO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE hosted a 40-hour training course recently for criminal investigations for new detectives. Officers from across the state attended the event including investigators from the cities of Lufkin, Alpine, Tomball, Natalia and the counties of Dimmit and Karnes. The Pearsall ISD Police department members also participated. The event creates an educational foundation for new detectives and is a refresher of skills and knowledge for veterans of the force. “We do this to better serve you all and to ensure professional service with respect,” Frio County Sheriff Peter Salinas said of the event.
