COUNTY ARRESTS
Thirteen individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, June 24, and early Monday, July 8, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Gabriel Alfonso Holguin, 43, of Laredo; arrested 12:17 p.m. Monday, June 24, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued in Jefferson County for Class A misdemeanor indecent assault; released on bond after nine hours.
Cassandra Janice Gonzales, 44, of Cotulla; arrested 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for Class A misdemeanor theft of service; released on bond after three hours.
Mario Lopez, 50, of Encinal; arrested 8:52 p.m. Thursday, June 27, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for driving while license is expired; released on bond after 12 hours.
Al Lopez, 40, of Cotulla; arrested 11:16 a.m. Monday, July 1, by the Sheriff’s Office; writ of habeas corpus on second-degree felony burglary of a habitation; transferred after one day, 23 hours.
Jose Valente Cortez, 33, of San Diego, Texas; arrested 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in Duval County for assault, warrant issued in Jim Wells County for possession of a dangerous drug; remained in jail Monday, July 8.
Deanna Krystal Nieto, 34, of Cotulla; arrested 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor terroristic threat with fear of imminent serious bodily injury; released on bond after eight hours.
Edy Ronaldo Lima-Flores, 36, of Laredo; arrested 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; transferred after one day, 19 hours to US Immigration & Customs Enforcement.
Brandon Lloyd Allen, 44, of Lufkin, Texas; arrested 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying weapon, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 12 hours.
Jesus Lopez, 37, of Dallas; arrested 11:24 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued in Taylor County for Class B misdemeanor theft by check; released on bond after six hours.
Jack Daniel Coleman, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor evading arrest, state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for third-degree felony evading arrest with a motor vehicle; remained in jail Monday, July 8.
Anay Snehal Patel, 20, of Germantown, Tennessee; arrested 9:22 a.m. Friday, July 5, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after one day, seven hours.
Chassidy Rosa Sanchez, 28, of Cotulla; arrested 2:05 a.m. Sunday, July 7, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony abandoning or endangering a child with intent to return; remained in jail Monday, July 8.
Jose Humberto Trevino-Flores, 31, of Donna, Texas; arrested 12:08 a.m. Monday, July 8, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor striking highway fixture, warrant issued in Hidaldgo County for unlawful possession of firearm; remained in jail Monday, July 8.
