COUNTY ARRESTS
Twenty-five individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, officers of the Encinal Police Department, and officers of the La Salle County Constabulary.
In addition to those serving commitment by order of the courts (details previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, July 8, and Sunday, July 21, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Angel Beltran, 33, of Freer, Texas; arrested 3:38 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace for misdemeanor speeding and misdemeanor violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after eight hours.
Mairany Alejandra Cantu, 28, of Laredo; arrested 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after two hours.
Randy Ramirez, 45, of Cotulla; arrested 1:13 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Wilson County for failure to appear in court on a Class B misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession; transferred after one day, seven hours.
Deloris Marie Reno, 50, of Cotulla; arrested 11:54 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member; remained in jail Monday, July 22.
Rene Ramon Navarro, 45, of Mission, Texas; arrested 10:10 a.m. Friday, July 12, by the Texas DPS; warrant issued in Hidalgo County for Class B misdemeanor vehicle collision involving damage; released on bond after five hours.
Andres Aaron Ricardo Ramirez, 32, of Dilley; arrested 10:03 p.m. Friday, July 12, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor theft of property up to $750 in value; released on bond after 18 hours.
Guillermo Diaz Jr., 29, of Laredo; arrested 12:20 a.m. Monday, July 15, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; released on bond after 12 hours.
Juan Xavier Cruz, 41, of Cotulla; arrested 11:05 a.m. Monday, July 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bexar County for tampering with evidence; transferred after eight hours.
Kendall Renae Younger, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 11:14 a.m. Monday, July 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct 1 JP for criminal trespass, Class A misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury to a family member, Class A misdemeanor burglary of vehicles, and state jail felony possessio0n of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1; released on bond after seven hours.
Brody Cecil Mac Ringer, 28, of Gardendale; arrested 5:20 p.m. Monday, July 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for second-degree felony burglary of a habitation; released on bond after three days, 20 hours.
Martha Gonzales Cardenas, 55, of Cotulla; arrested 11:35 p.m. Monday, July 15, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor harboring a runaway child, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for misdemeanor speeding; released on bond after 18 hours.
Jose Enrique Perales, 44, of Cotulla; arrested 2:09 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for disregarding a traffic sign, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and failing to display a driver’s license; released on bond after 15 hours.
Rigoberto Martinez-Jimenez, 31, of Nacogdoches, Texas; arrested 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (seven counts), third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle, Class A misdemeanor evading arrest, Class B misdemeanor reckless driving; remained in jail Monday, July 22, on hold for immigration authorities.
Angelina Corinna Vargas, 21, of San Antonio; arrested 1:53 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County Court for Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana; remained in jail Monday, July 22.
Jessica Marie Flanders, 39, of Pasadena, Texas; arrested 2:07 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Pct. 2 Constable’s Office; third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1/1b; remained in jail Monday, July 22.
Andres G. Oros-Santizo, 22, of Cotulla; arrested 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 15 hours.
Rene Corona, 22, of Laredo; arrested 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Texas DPS; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after 20 hours.
Eddie Rosales Cantu, 70, of Cotulla; arrested 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, by the Texas DPS; second-degree felony sexual assault; released on bond after five hours.
Alex Melvin Ray, 39, of Springstown, Texas; arrested 5:59 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, by the Pct. 2 Constable’s Office; warrants issued in Bell County for Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class B misdemeanor violation of occupational driver’s license; released on bond after 16 hours.
Anthony Jerome Hankins, 52, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle District Court for state jail felony probation violation on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle; remained in jail Monday, July 22.
Bacilio Neftali Hernandez-Gonzalez, 24, of Houston; arrested 7:07 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle District Court for third-degree felony smuggling of persons (ten counts), and third-degree felony failure to appear in court on a charge of smuggling of persons; remained in jail Monday, July 22, on hold for immigration authorities.
Erick Angel Bonilla, 31, of McAllen, Texas; arrested 8:53 p.m. Thursday, July 18, by the Encinal PD; warrant issued in McAllen for theft; released on bond after three hours.
Aidan Giovanni Zavala, 19, of Victoria, Texas; arrested 10:43 p.m. Thursday, July 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by Pct. 1 JP for driving without a license, seatbelt violation, failure to maintain financial responsibility, traveling at an unsafe speed, and failure to drive in a single lane of traffic; remained in jail Monday, July 22.
Jose Armando Cruz, 22, of Laredo; arrested 7:16 p.m. Friday, July 19, by the Encinal PD; misdemeanor warrants issued by Pct. 3 JP for speeding, driving without a license, and failure to appear in court, warrant issued by Pct. 2 JP for driving without a license, warrant issued by Pct. 1 JP for violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after 15 hours.
Haziel Torres, 17, of Laredo; arrested 11:50 p.m. Sunday, July 21, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle (with prior conviction or causing serious bodily injury), state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; remained in jail Monday, July 22.
