Sponsored by the city of Cotulla and a rake of corporate supporters, the event ranks as the largest roughstock rodeo in Texas and awards over $25,000 in prizes. Contests included barrel racing, bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding. Children’s activities in the arena included entertaining competitions and an Easter egg hunt.
