Dilley ISD’s Stronger Connections team celebrated Austism Awareness Month with a community-wide walk complete with sensory station activities in an effort to bring attention to the cause at Gosch Field on Friday, April 24. The group extended its thanks to the many agencies, local officials, local businesses and organizations for their participation in the event including Frio County Sheriff Peter Salinas and his department, La Salle County Sheriff Hector Ramirez and family and his department, Dilley PD, Frio Constable John Rodriguez, Camino Real, the Texas Department of State Health, Chicanos Por La Causa, Danny and Blanquita Martinez and family, the DHS cheerleaders, DHS drumline, DHS honor society, student speakers DHS senior Jewlea Tate, senior Harleigh Morales, and junior Jnessa Nickles and community helper Teddy Aguilar.
