Ruby Laguna Leal, 55 of Pearsall, died on December 19, 2019. She was born on December 9, 1964 to Gilberto Laguna and Rosa Peralta Laguna. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Linda Alaniz and Robert Laguna and grandparents Juan and Dominga Peralta. She is survived by her husband Jesse Leal Sr., children Jessica Leal and husband Tito Rendon, Jesus Leal Jr. and wife Connie Kirkland, Barbara Laguna and husband James Jackson and Anthony Laguna, siblings Leonora Cruz, Juan Laguna, Cynthia Contreras, Melissa Laguna, Larry Laguna, Gilbert Laguna Jr., Lionel Peralta, Jesse Peralta and Richard Peralta. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Adolfo A. Leal, Raymundo Leal, Osvaldo Leal, Jesus Leal III, Lionel Peralta, Larry Laguna and Richard Peralta. Visitation was held on Monday, December 23 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 2 to 9 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held on Tuesday, December 24 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Frio County Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
