Frank Earl Plocek Sr.

Frank Earl Plocek Sr., 81, of Cotulla, died on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 in Laredo. He was born on February 18, 1945 in Pearsall to Malvin Edward Plocek and Jessie Fay “Overby” Plocek.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Edward A. Plocek and Melvin D. Plocek.

Frank is survived by his ex-wife, Phyllis J. Lansford (married for 50 years), sons Frank Plocek Jr., Michael (Kate) Plocek and David (Samantha) Plocek, grandchildren David Plocek Jr., Mckenzie Plocek, Bailey Plocek, and Katherine Plocek.

Pallbearers included David Plocek, Michael Plocek, David Plocek Jr., Frank Plocek Jr., Jonesy Lansford Jr., Chris Henicke, Matthew Santos and James Wells. Honorary pallbearers were Jonesy Lansford Sr., Wayne Lansford, Matt Lansford, David Jenkins, Richard Tetzlaff, James “Skeeter” Tetzlaff, Jack Van Cleve, Mark Plocek and Jimmy Plocek.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11 at Peters Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Cotulla West Cemetery.
