Flores, 75

Maria G. (Chela) Flores, age 75, of Cotulla, died Monday, February 17, 2020, at her home. She was born September 3, 1944 in Hidalgo, Mexico to the late Enrique Flores and Elvira Arce Flores.

She is preceded in death by sisters America Garza and husband Armando of Laredo and Angelica Flores of Nuevo Laredo.

Flores is survived by her husband Martin Flores of Cotulla, daughters Deyanira Flores of San Antonio, Sandra Friesenhahn of Cotulla, Gracie Flores Martinez and husband Richard of San Antonio, siblings Enrique Flores of Laredo, Maria Teresa Flores of San Antonio, Rosa Elva Flores and husband Juan of San Antonio, Maria Herlinda F de Rodriguez and husband Mauricio of Nuevo Laredo, Enedelia Rangel and husband Librado of San Antonio and Dora Elia Ibarra and husband Andres of San Antonio, granddaughter Kaitlyn Friesenhahn of San Antonio, grandson Johnny Friesenhahn of Cotulla and two great-grandchildren, Maximilian Antonio and Madilyn Leigh of San Antonio.

Chela enjoyed gardening, evening walks with her husband, star gazing and spending time with grandkids and great-grandkids.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20 at Peter’s Funeral Home in Cotulla, 4 to 9 p.m., with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla, at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 21. Interment followed at the Cotulla East Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
