Maria M. De Leon died on January 28, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born on September 24, 1946 to Martin and Juanita Sanchez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Masedonio De Leon, siblings Mario Sanchez, Isidro Sanchez, Maria Cruz Sanchez, Martin Sanchez and Catarina Sanchez.

De Leon is survived by her children Raymundo De Leon, Rosa Anna (Eligio) Ramirez, Martin De Leon, Maria Elena De Leon, Reynaldo De Leon, Maribel De Leon, Juanita (Jesus) Partida, Natasha De Leon (Noe Nieto) and her brother Ramon (Juanita) Sanchez. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 2 at Peters Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 3 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
