Patsy Schulze Scott, 75, died on June 3, 2021, in San Antonio. She was born Patsy Ruth Schulze on September 8, 1945, in Pearsall to Walter Jack and Vira (Bell) Schulze.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Vivian Fay Schulze.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Vernon Scott, sons David Walter Scott of San Antonio, and William “Bill” Vernon and Julia Scott of Lubbock, granddaughters Lilly and Cora Scott, also of Lubbock, four nieces, two nephews, and numerous cousins.
She was raised in the Woodward community in La Salle County, and graduated from Cotulla High School before attending Draughons Business College of San Antonio. She started her professional career of 41 years with Life and Casualty Insurance Company which would become AIG American General by the time she retired. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the South Texas Cattlewomen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla. Services will be held Saturday, June 12 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cotulla with Rev. Moises Rodriguez, officiating. Interment followed in the Cotulla West Cemetery. Pallbearers include James Howard, Cole Van Cleve, Fidel del Toro, Jr., Carlos Soto, Jr., John B. McDougall, and Kevin B. Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers are Curtis Coffee, Tom Sanders, Len Scott, Lane Scott, Bryan Wilkinson, and Bobby Reese. Memorials can be made to Amada’s Pantry at the First Methodist Church of Cotulla.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
