Michael R. Hardy, 74, died on July 21, 2021. He was born on April 28, 1947 to Charles D. and Margaret Hardy in San Antonio and resided in Dilley for 72 years.
He is preceded in death by his sister Cindy Hardy.
Michael is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Hardy, daughters Shauna Hardy (Gilbert), Kristin Hardy (Danny), grandchildren Kali, Alyssa, Emory, Jesse and Xavier, sister Diane Marx and husband, David, niece Charlotte Harper (Mike), nephew Dave Marx (Liz).
Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1972. He was a rancher and enjoyed being outdoors every chance he could. He had a passion for hog hunting in his earlier days with his buddies.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pearsall. A service was held on Monday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Dilley with interment to follow in Covey Chapel Cemetery.
