Saved it

Pearsall volunteer firefighters arrived at a home along Colorado Street around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, and found the first floor of the building fully engulfed in flames. Crews were able to contain the blaze within 30 minutes, according to Pearsall VFD Chief Placido Aguilar, saving the second floor from any fire damage. The fire chief said although the cause of the fire is unknown, there has been no evidence that it was the result of arson. Aguilar is crediting nine firefighters with helping douse the blaze. The family living in the residence was not home at the time of the fire.
