Maria Elena Torres de Martinez, 91,of Millett, died on August 15, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1932 to Luciano and Celerina Torres in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Trinidad Martinez.

Maria Elena is survived by her children Javier Martinez of Millett and Maria Elena Olvera (Roberto) of San Antonio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Roberto Jose Olvera, Maria Celeste Olvera and Daniela Olvera.

Visitation was held Monday, August 21 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in San Antonio at 9 a.m. A Rosary was recited at 9:45 a.m. Funeral mass followed at 10:30 a.m.

Graveside services were held at the Millett Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels.
