Gloria, 77

Elias O. Gloria, 77, died on February 29, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born on May 19, 1946 to Silvestre and Angelita Gloria.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his niece Valerie Benavidez and her unborn son.

Elias is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hortensia (Tencha), daughters Gloria Gloria and Adrienne (Allan Curl), two granddaughters, Cheyanne and Daisy May Curl, sisters, Raquel Benavidez, Orfalinda Gloria, two nephews and four nieces. He is also survived by numerous cousins, uncles, and aunts.

Pallbearers included Eloy Zertuche, Noel Niavez, Humberto Soto, Isidora (Une) Flores, Cesario (Chayito) Medellin, Aldo Maldonado and honorary pallbearer Eloyandra (EJ) Zertuche.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 5 at Peters Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 6 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
