Cayetano “ Bandido” Viesca, 88, died on August 26, 2024 at his home in Pearsall. He was born on August 7, 1936, in Pearsall to Petra and Frutoso Viesca.

He is preceded in death by his ex-wife Melba Viesca, his parents, stepson Roberto Moreno Jr., siblings Lino Viesca Sr. (Belen Viesca), Candelario Viesca, and Mauricio Viesca, as well as his nephew Lino Viesca Jr.

Cayetano is survived by his daughter Maggie Morales and husband Roy Chavera Jr., stepchildren Mike Moreno (Patty Rodriguez), Graciela Moreno ( Roberto Hernandez) Hector Moreno (Joey Hernandez), Esperanza Gonzales (Marcos Gonzales Jr), Beatrice Verzoza (Johnny), sister Juanita V. Alaniz, grandchildren James V. Morales Jr., Chelsa Marie V. Morales, Hope Kaycee V. Chavera, and great-grandchildren Kristen Morales, Jayda Morales, Bailey Morales, Jacquelyn Morales, and Jocelyn Morales, as well as numerous nieces.

A Mass in honor of Cayetano Viesca will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall on September 5 at 10 a.m. Prior to the Mass, a public viewing will be conducted on September 4, at 2 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall.
