Kenneth Gene Graf, 80, died of colon/liver cancer on Saturday. November 2. He was born in Pearsall on March 24, 1944 to Martin V. Graf and Anita Mayer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Graf.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jackie and by his three children Kevin (Quinn), Klint (Angela) Graf and Kendra (Jeff) Echols, grandchildren Chandler (Macy), Emily Hutnyan (Matt), Lindsay, Ally, Cambridge, Kylie, Kole, and Kinley Graf, Kellar, Brannan and Holland Echols, also by his brothers Martin (Mary) and Paul (Debi) Graf, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Pearsall, Kenneth attended St. Peter Lutheran Church. He graduated from Pearsall High School in 1962 and married his high school sweetheart, Jackie Woodward shortly thereafter.
Kenneth attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated in 1969 with a double masters in math and chemistry. The Graf’s then moved back to Pearsall where he taught high school science and farmed/ranched for 19 years before moving to San Antonio, (living in Helotes for 34 years). He was a member of University Methodist Church since 1989.
Graveside burial service of his ashes will be at Pearsall Cemetery on Saturday, November 23 at 12:30 p.m. with a lunch and visitation following at Pearsall Methodist Fellowship Hall. All are welcome.
Memorial Service will be on Sunday, November 24 at 2 p.m. in San Antonio at University Methodist Church with a reception to follow.
