Josefa D. Rodriguez, 97, of Dilley, died on January 18, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1927 in Dilley to Pablo and Benita Duran.

She is preceded in death by her husband Merced Rodriguez Jr., daughter Maria Elva Carranza and son Rolando Rodriguez.

Josefa is survived by her children Cesario Rodriguez, Rosendo Rodriguez, Regulo Rodriguez, Lucy Eguia, Delma Cervantes, Rodrigo Rodriguez, Eddie Rodriguez, Marion Rodriguez, Odelia Rodriguez and Orlando Rodriguez. She is also survived by 70 grandchildren, 101 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 27 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley from 3 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 28 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels.
