Daniel Salazar

Daniel Salazar, 28, died on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born on July 9, 1997 to Ricardo Salazar Sr. and Victoria Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Alejandro Medina, uncle Jose Luis Rodriguez and his cousins, Leslie Funes and Hillyboy Gonzalez.

Salazar is survived by his parents Ricardo (Antoniette) Salazar Sr. and Vicky Rodriguez (Sonny Aldaco), children Aria Salazar, Deylza Salazar and Carolina Salazar, siblings Ricardo Salazar Jr. (Janice Ovalle), Alexis Salazar (Ryan Garza), Justin (Allyson) Salazar, Ruben (Jackie) Salazar, Sonny Aldaco II, Trevlynn Aldaco (Manuel Garcia), Ethan Aldaco, Andrew Salazar (Abygale), Reina Salazar, Jenavie Esparza and Isaiah Esparza, paternal grandparents Francisca and Seferino Salazar, maternal grandparents Juanita Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, Lucia Martinez and his aunt Blanca Negrete. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 12 at Peters Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Cotulla East Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
