Pearsall will kick off its 2024 track and field season this week with its second annual Green and Black Track and Field Intra-Squad Scrimmage beginning Wednesday, February 7.
The event, which is a modified workout, will incorporate live meet action into the team’s regular practice.
The event kicks off on Wednesday as pole vaulters will compete at 4:45 p.m. while other athletes complete their regular workouts.
Vaulters will only have six attempts, regardless of their success on the final attempt.
Action on Thursday will begin at 5 p.m. with the triple jump, shot put at 5:15, high jump at 5:45 p.m. Running events will begin at 6 p.m. and start with the 400m relay, 1,600m run, 300m hurdles, 400m dash and 60m run.
The long jump and discus will kick off Friday’s schedule at 4 p.m., followed by running events at 4:45 p.m. Running events will begin with the 800m run 110m/100m hurdles, 200m dash and co-ed 1,600m relay.
Coaches will score each event and also score participants for their enthusiasm and team spirit and award a winner at the event of the meet.
