Lionel V. Carrizales Sr.

Lionel V. Carrizales Sr., 66, died on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in San Antonio, surrounded by family. He was born on May 10, 1959, in Pearsall to Raul Carrizales Sr. and Catalina Vinton Carrizales.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Rolando Carrizales, Roberto Carrizales, Raul Carrizales Jr., and Lucinda Robinson.

Lionel is survived by his wife Susana Carrizales, and his children Sergio Olivas (Jazmine), Kathy Carrizales, and Lionel Carrizales Jr., his grandchildren Jazlynn and Sergio II, and his sisters Alvesa Ruel and Gloria Rodriguez.

Lionel served his country for 16 years in the United States Marines.

Funeral services were held on October 15 at Templo El Olivar in Pearsall at 10:15 a.m. Gravesite services followed at the VFW Cemetery with Marine funeral honors.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
