Maria Fonseca

Maria Fonseca, 99, beloved mother, Wela, Tia Mary, sister-in-law, cherished neighbor, dear friend, and sister in Christ, went home to be with our Precious Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. She was born on September 16, 1926 to Pedro and Juanita Sepeda.

Maria is preceded in death by her loving husband Sam, son Fidel Fonseca, her parents, siblings Frank, Ignacio (Nacho), Juanita and Clemente Sepeda, her son Mike Fonseca (Joanne), grandchildren Michael Fonseca (Naila), Tony Fonseca (Zaddai), Aaron Michael Fonseca (Kimberly), Jarred Adan Fonseca (Kenora) and Alisha Fonseca. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren Friends and family are invited to join in remembering Maria’s extraordinary life.

Visitation was held at Treviño Royal Oaks Dilley Chapel, at 604 W. Leona St, Hwy 85 in Dilley on Monday, July 6, from 3 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services were held at Belen Baptist Church, 202 East White Street in Dilley on Tuesday, July 7, at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Treviño Royal Oaks Dilley Chapel, Dilley.
