Francisco Torres Ortiz, 76, of Pearsall, died on January 2, 2024 in Pearsall. He was born on September 9, 1947 in Pearsall to Antonio Ortiz and Clara Torres.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Julian Ortiz, Santiago Frausto and Esteban Ortiz, and sister Flora Ortiz.
Francisco is survived by his children Joann Rios (Librado), Claribel Ramos (Agapito), Frances Marie Ortiz, Joe Anthony Ortiz, Lenora Castillo (Diego) and Francisco Luis Ortiz (Marissa), brother Ruben Frausto (Rosa) and his significant other, Rosa Aranda. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Diego Castillo Jr., Christian Arias, Devin Castillo, Kaitlyn Castillio, Joshua Benavidez, Christopher Vasquez, Agapito Ramos and Diego Castillo Sr.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 5 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3 to 9 p.m. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 6 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Pearsall Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
