Frank M. Padilla

Frank M. Padilla, 85, died on Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1939 in Pearsall, to parents Francisco and Theodora Padilla.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Maria Padilla, sister Gloria P. Taylor, brother-in-law Joe Howard Taylor and brother Pete Padilla.

Frank is survived by his daughters Mary Ann Ureste (Jesse), Cynthia Ortiz (Johnny Hernandez), Amy P. Diaz (Samuel), Joelle Matilton, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and niece Elvira P. Kracha, and nephew Pete Padilla Jr.

Frank enjoyed conversations with friends, spending time outdoors with his pets, attending church services, and singing hymns that resonated with his faith. His daily routine included reading the Bible regularly.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Services of Pearsall. Funeral service was held on Friday, August 15 at 10 a.m. at Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida Church of Pearsall. Interment followed at the Frio County Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Jesse Ureste Jr., Jesse Ureste III, Jadon Ureste, Joe Rendon, Pete (Tito) Padilla Jr., and Scotty Valenzuela. Honorary pallbearer was Johnny Hernandez.
