Delmar Jose ‘El Porky’ Torres

Delmar Jose ‘El Porky’ Torres, 69, died on Monday, August 18, 2025, in San Antonio. He was born on September 23, 1955 in Dilley to Pascual Torres and Paula Gonzalez Torres.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gilbert and Javier Torres, sisters-in-law Silvia, Yolanda, and Angie.

He is survived by his brother Ismael Torres, children Marisa and Lauro Garcia, Delmar and Lee Ann Torres, Debra Torres, and Deann Torres and grandchildren Hiram, Anthony, Nickholas, Danielle, Jarius, Monica, Layla, Jose ‘JJ’, Mia, Mya, and Noah, as well as seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included Delmar Torres, Hiram Marrero, Danielle Torres, Layla Torres, Daniel Torres, Nickholas Torres, Jose Torres and Mark Leal.

Family visitation was held on Monday, August 25 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel in Pearsall from 3 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held on Tuesday, August 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dilley. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
