Ofelia Rangel Arellano

Ofelia Rangel Arellano, 96, died peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Pearsall, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 6, 1929 in Moore to Demetrio Rangel and Damascia Rangel.

She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco M. Arellano, her parents, brothers Ismael and Carlos Rangel, son-in-law Hector Pena, and great-grandson Triece Vera.

She is survived by her children Oralia Pena, Anestacio Arellano (Nelda), Odelia Castro (Eddie), Louisa Martinez, Juan Arellano (Patty), Joe Arellano, and Lydia Arellano, 22 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing was held at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory on Thursday, January 22 from 5 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral mass celebrating her life was held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Friday, January 23 at 9 a.m. Interment followed at the Moore Catholic Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
